Founded more than ten years ago, Besh o droM have been inseparable with the World Music Stage of Sziget for nine years now. Their line-up has often been modified – especially on the position of the female singer – during their career, but a fact’s a fact: those who are attracted by fiery skies, brass solos and reckless rhythms, always get what they ask for from the band’s Balkan and Hungarian folk covers in concert and on record (Macsó hímzés, Nekemtenemmutogatol, Gyí, Ha megfogom az ördögöt). On top of it all, our hearts can swell with pride, Besh o droM’s energetic čoček isn’t of everday occurrence even on the land of the Serbs and the Macedonians.
