After successfully self-releasing their debut single "Urban Emotions", produced by Marius Lauber (Beat! Beat! Beat!) and mastered by Andrew Heppner (Bravestation), through Humming Records / Rough Trade in early 2011 and having since toured extensively throughout the UK and mainland Europe, In Golden Tears are currently in the process of writing and recording material for their debut album due in 2012. In Golden Tears set off a firework filled with introspective melancholy and outbursts of uplifting pop. Pumping bass and echoing drum sounds make their way through dark shadowy walls of synthesizers, pierced by a clean cut guitar sound which lives up to the names of Joy Division and Interpol. The gripping, stentorian vocals are sure to stay on the listener's mind long after final chords are struck.
